SYNOPSIS
Welcome to the Edison Hotel coffee shop, the legendary Polish Tea Room in New York's theatre district, where Broadway dreamers gather between auditions and over endless cups of coffee.
When a tussle over the future ownership of the beloved café ensues, it becomes the catalyst for hope, conflict, and revelation among the coffee shop's regulars. As the story unfolds we meet an unforgettable ensemble: veteran performers clinging to faded glory, wide-eyed newcomers chasing their first break, and the wonderfully eccentric souls who colour this theatrical corner of Manhattan.
With signature wit and warmth, Neil Simon celebrates the resilience and camaraderie of the theatre community—those dedicated artists who live perpetually in the wings, forty-five seconds from the spotlight they long for, yet rich in passion and determination.
